Membership Info
Criteria: Any Muslim who pays the membership dues and is willing to abide by the Constitution of the Long Island Muslim Society is eligible for this Membership. A member has all the rights and privileges granted by the constitution and its bylaws.
Membership Type:
- Regular member: a member who fulfills the membership criteria. He/she is eligible to participate in elections for the executive committee and board of trustees.
- Life member: a member who fulfills the membership criteria and contributes a sum of money in one installment as determined by the executive committee. He/she has lifelong rights and privileges of regular membership.
- Honorary Member: Honorary membership may be conferred by the executive committee upon any person who has rendered exemplary services to the organization and/or the cause of Islam. Honorary members cannot participate in the election process or hold any office.
Membership Fee:
Regular: $100/yr.
Lifetime $1000/all in one installment
